This young athlete maintains considerable online audience

The young golfer will have plenty of well-known backers as she starts her LPGA debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.

The former president, a passionate golfer, owns numerous international courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she stated.

She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa essentially advised me to compete and have fun," she added.

"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's quite busy."

While still amateur, Kai has participated in only three events recently and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

However she can receive tips from golf legend, who is dating Vanessa.

"He stands as the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He suggested me to play, have fun, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge several the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

The LPGA commented that her participation helps introduce the sport to different demographics, specifically with younger fans.

The young star maintains a massive following and has started a personal fashion and living label.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
